The Metro Jets certainly enjoyed their two games against the Southern Tier Xpress over the weekend at the Northwest Arena by scoring eight goals in each NA3HL start.
The Jets (15-2) got one goal in the first period, three goals in the second period and four more in the third period en route to an 8-0 win over the Xpress (6-8) on Saturday.
Jhuwon Davis scored the lone goal in the first on an assist by George Hansen for a 1-0 Metro lead. In the second period, Metro increased the lead to 4-0 with three more goals. Connor Inger tallied from Anthony Cinato and Dante Trapi at 5:51 Mathieul LaForest found the back of the net from Jay Bruce at 5:51 and Bruce scored again from Jeremy Schwartz.
Four more Metro goals followed in the third stanza as Brandon Graham tallied from Rhett Limback, Momet scored from Davis and Brett Limback, Cinato tallied from Robby Flannery and Kyle Gileman, and Schwartz record another goal from Momet.
Brandon Heacock started and played the first two periods for the Xpress and made 59 saves. Ryan Pascarella went the final 20 minutes and made five saves.
Andrew Kormos had 13 saves for Metro.
The Xpress are idle until Friday when they host the Pittsburgh Vengeance at 7 p.m. and then travel to Pittsburgh for a 6:30 p.m. next Saturday.
