Southern Tier vanquishes Wooster in shootout, 5-4 (1-0 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Southern Tier defeated Wooster in a shootout 5-4 (1-0 SO).

The shootout featured five attempts between both teams.

Southern Tier came back from a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. Southern Tier fell behind 4-1 after a goal by Wooster\’s Carmon Teel at 4:14 in the second period. Southern Tier knotted things up at 4-4 on a goal by Brian Grant at 14:05 in the third period.

Wooster was unable to stop Southern Tier from sending pucks towards the net, and Southern Tier eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Southern Tier bested its season scoring average. This season, Southern Tier averages 2.4 goals per contest.
