During the first period, Thornton opened the scoring for Metro with a goal at 5:36 with assists from teammates Davis and Momot. Lamison quickly followed with a goal at 7:09 with a helper from Pearson. Hansen answered for the Jets with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 11:35 with assists from Guske and Limback.
