Wooster blows out Southern Tier, 5-2

Wooster had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-2 win over Southern Tier.

Wooster\’s penalty kill excelled, as Wooster gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays.

Wooster was led by Mike Zenone, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Zenone scored 16:51 into the first period to make the score 3-2 Wooster. Zach Bilius picked up the assist.

Southern Tier was unable to stop Wooster from sending pucks towards the net, and Wooster eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Wooster additionally got points from Carmon Teel, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Tyler Houmard also scored for Wooster. Other players who recorded assists for Wooster were Brad Sneed, Tyler Crites, and Will Schober, who contributed one each.

Southern Tier was helped by Tyler Groth, who registered one goal. Groth scored 5:18 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Southern Tier. Kyler Chartier provided the assist. Southern Tier also got a goal from Elijah Williams as well. In addition, Southern Tier received assists from Alec Hooper, Victor McCutcheon, and Luke Grossman, who each chipped in one.
