Xpress Shut Out By Metro Jets, 9-0

The undefeated Metro Jets showed the Southern Tier Xpress why they are undefeated in the NA3HL on Saturday.

The Jets made their unbeaten record 19-0 with a 9-0 decision over the Xpress (6-8-1).

Louis Boudin had the hat trick to raise his total to 15 goals for this season for the Jets. He scored the opening goal from Kristan Alafriz at 10:01. Then, Cam Schrantz scored his 11th goal from Jake Gleason and Jason Newel at 16:48 for a 2-0 lead after the first period.

Charles Dishkath had his 13th goal from Chase Sereno and Griffin Sawyer just 42 seconds into the second period. Graham Day made it 4-0 from Boudin and Sawyer at 7:13 followed by Mathias Tellstrom with his 11th from Boudin at 17:43.

The Jets added four more goals in the third period.

Cam Schwartz tallied fron Newel and Marc Schwartz at 7:33, Boudin got his 14th goal from Day and Rob Flanary at 11:13, Boudin recorded his hat trick and 15th of the season from Tellstrom and Day at 14:40 and Sereno tallied from George Hansen and Stefan Boskovic at 19:27 to round out the scoring.

Andrew Kormos made 19 saves for the shutout while Harrison Vangellow made 20 saves and Ryan Pascarella had 31 saves for the Xpress. Overall, the Jets fired 60 shots on the Xpress net.

The Xpress have a 7 p.m. home game against the Pittsburgh Vengeance on Friday night at the Northwest Arena.  Then they go to Pittsburgh on Saturday for a 6:30 p.m. game at Alpha Ice Complex.
