Xpress Shut Out Roc City, 4-0

Behind goalie Ryan Pascarella, the Southern Tier Xpress concluded a successful two-game NA3HL homestand at the Northwest Arena on Saturday night to bring their record to 5-7-1.

Pascarella made 10 saves in gaining the shutout as the Xpress blanked the Roc City Royals (6-7-2), 4-0.

The Xpress took a 1-0 lead in the first period as Hunter Kepple scored from Joe Gerace at 2:27. The only goal in the second stanza was by Ty Rickabaugh from Gerace and Pascarella to make it 2-0 in favor of the Xpress.

Kepple added his second goal from Mock at 5:26 of the third period and Cameron Trejchel tallied from Luke Grossman and Santen Rajalallio at 18:35 to finish off the scoring.

Freddy Peters made 29 saves for the Royals.

The next action for the Xpress is Friday at 7 p.m at the Toledo Cherokee followed by a 7:30 p.m. Saturday date at the Metro Jets.
